Volunteer Centres can:
- Help you reach potential volunteers by advertising and promoting your opportunities (click here for how to register)
- Provide advice on recruitment and retention of volunteers
- Providing training and frameworks for involving volunteers
Sportscotland in partnership with the Volunteer Centre Network developed a three year project which promoted volunteering in sport. The project which ended in March 2008 was via six Regional Development Officers for Volunteering in Sport able to:
- Raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering in sport both to the volunteer and to sport.
- Support sports groups in all aspects of volunteering.
- Develop and support partnerships between Volunteer Centres and sport.
